“ All those years Stevie's On The Strip was on Crenshaw, I would see it but never went. It's been a struggle finding good gumbo locally and Stevie's seafood gumbo certainly came through. It was fantastic and flavorful and full of chicken, shrimp, sausage, and crab legs. The gumbo came with rice and a small piece of bread. The peach cobbler was also exceptional with a tasty and unique crust. The only complaint I have is that my delivery order was packed in a brown bag and then in a very oversized plastic bag where the containers were sideways/horizontal and the gumbo was spilling a bit by the time I got it. ”

“ I promise Stevie's has the best peach cobbler in the city and I'll stand on that. Also, that peach cobbler butter for the biscuits needs to be jarred and sold. My bf ordered the short rib po' boy and it was so, so good. The meat was tender and the bread was so soft. I ordered the etouffee and it wasn't my favorite version, but it was very good. The popcorn shrimp is delicious, too. The service is always good. The staff is nice and helpful - almost feels like talking to your cousins and aunties. There isn't much ambiance and parking isn't the best. This is my go-to for creole food. ”

“ The food was off the chain. I make gumbo but it was different from this. I don't dip my bread into any juice, but I did here. The waiters were very attentive to seniors. The food was excellent. One thing: please add another grab bar. It's difficult to get up from a very low toilet with one grab bar is difficult getting up. It's a good thing my friend was waiting outside the bathroom. I was yelling because getting up without support from another grab bar was hard. I enjoyed myself. I give FIVE stars ”

“ Had a friend tell me about this spot so I came by after work. I got a jerk chicken plate with rice and gravy & Mac and cheese. My friend said to get the sauces (I forgot) but they still added them to the bag which I'm so thankful for. The food itself took a little but it came hot as heck and tasted fresh. The chicken was juicy, the rice and gravy was so good I wish I got more and the Mac and cheese was some of the best I've ever had. Also those sauces!!!!!! It was packed when I went and the inside isn't too big but they have a nice setup outside. Young girl at the front was sweet and patient as I decided what to get lol it was hard to only pick one thing. I think a lot of times people leave bad reviews because of one bad experience which should take away from how good a restaurant is. Coming back and trying a lot more of the food soon! ”
